The Vineyard
Hidden Chapel's vineyard is young & prime. With the South Okanagan's superior growing conditions, planted in 2006, our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon vines are producing exceptional fruit resulting in full bodied wines bursting with flavour. The vineyard was planted by Lanny & Deborah and is tended on a daily basis by Marg Kinrade. Pruning, thinning, tucking, leaf pruning & harvest are all done by hand. Sustainable vineyard culture includes conservation of our precious water with a drip irrigation system & control of the noxious weeds, including the invasive puncture vine, again all done by hand.

In addition to grapes produced in our vineyard, we bring in grapes from other growers in the Okanagan. Our neighbour, Swaran Chahal (right, centre)produces grapes in the same meticulous manner as Lanny. Swaran's grapes come from the property adjoining Hidden Chapel as well as a property he owns in partnership in Osoyoos. For 2013 Swaran is planting some new white vines to produce new varieties of white wine for Hidden Chapel Winery including Gewurztraminer, Semillon, & Muscat.
Our Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which are an integral part of our White Wedding Blend come from Terry Water & Cathy Banks (& their dog Miles) Trout Creek Vineyard in Summerland.
